City of Coffs Harbour Council has approved 7 new Environmental Levy Grants worth $81,355 as part of Round Two of the program.
“The Environmental Levy Grants Program plays a vital role in funding projects that positively impact Coffs Harbour’s local environment and community,” said City of Coffs Harbour Mayor, Cr Paul Amos.
“It’s great to see a range of projects receive funding, whether for doing work in the natural environment or educating the community to get better outcomes for our community.”
The successful projects will now be included in the 2023-24 Operational Plan. The projects are:

Under the program, grants are available to community organisations for projects starting from 1 July each financial year, worth between $2,000 and $25,000 per project.
The Environmental Levy Program has now distributed $429,263 for the year and the remaining $82,399 will be returned to the Environmental Levy Reserve for use in the 2024/25 financial year.
Of the nine submissions received for Round Two, seven submissions were recommended by the program’s panel and subsequently approved by Council.
Applications for 2024/2025 Environmental Levy Grants Program will open March 2024.
