City calls for Rural Communiities Committee members

The City of Greater Bendigo is calling for residents to express their interest in joining the Greater Bendigo Rural Communities Committee.

Greater Bendigo Rural Communities Committee Chair Cr Yvonne Wrigglesworth said the Committee meets four times a year and provides strategic advice to Council on a range of key issues and opportunities relevant to rural communities and townships.

“We are looking for people who have a passion for and a commitment to, rural community leadership and advancement and who have the relevant knowledge skills and experience.

“Council has a strong commitment to our City’s rural communities and townships and this is an important advisory committee to Council,” said Cr Wrigglesworth.

The Committee is made up of three Councillors, up to nine community representatives and relevant City staff members.

Nine positions are currently available and all applicants will be assessed by a selection panel and notified of their application outcome. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to participate in an interview.
