City facilities reopen as restrictions ease further

The City welcomes the decision to move Victoria to the ‘Last Step’ on the coronavirus (COVID-19) roadmap.

Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a raft of changes, allowing further permitted activity and larger gathering limits throughout Victoria from 23 November.

As part of a further easing of restrictions, patron caps will be allowed to increase in the City’s Swim, Sport and Leisure facilities (gyms and pools) and cultural venues.

The City will assess the changes and move quickly to implement the required COVID-safe measures to the its operations and services.

Under an easing of restrictions announced earlier this month, the City will reopen the National Wool Museum gallery and the Carousel to visitors from 23 November.

The City urges community members to abide by the COVID-safe measures, such as maintaining a distance of 1.5 metres from others and wearing a face mask when it is now required.
