City of Parramatta Council closing facilities due to COVID-19

City of Parramatta Council will be temporarily closing a number of its facilities due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

The following facilities will close from Tuesday 24 March until further notice:

Libraries

  • City of Parramatta Library
  • Carlingford Library
  • Constitution Hill Library
  • Dundas Valley Branch Library
  • Epping Branch Library
  • Ermington Branch Library
  • Local Studies/Family History Library
  • Newington Library
  • Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library

Water Playgrounds

  • James Ruse Reserve water playground, Harris Park
  • Philip Ruddock water playground, Dundas Valley
  • Ollie Webb Reserve all-abilities and water playground, Parramatta

Aquatic Centres & Swimming Areas

  • Epping Aquatic Centre
  • Macarthur Girls High School Pool, Parramatta
  • Lake Parramatta – designated swimming area now closed

Halls, Community Centres & Meeting Rooms

  • Burnside Gardens Community Centre
  • Don Moore Community Centre
  • Don Moore Reserve Meeting Room
  • Dundas Community Centre
  • Epping Community Centre
  • Epping Leisure and Learning Centre
  • Ermington Community Centre
  • George Kendall Meeting Room
  • Harry Todd Band Hall
  • John Curtin Meeting Room

Parramatta Farmers Markets & Centenary Square

Centenary Square will still be open to the public. However, the weekly Parramatta Farmers Markets as well as weekday programs and activities such as music performances, table tennis and food trucks, have been suspended. Tables, chairs and children’s play equipment will not be available.

Customer Contact Centre & Corporate Reception

The Service Centre and Level 12 Corporate Reception, both at 126 Church Street in Parramatta, will be closed. Services will still be available online at cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au/council/customer-contact-centre or by calling 1300 617 058.

Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Centre

The Heritage and Visitor Centre will be temporarily closed to the public and tourism programs will be temporarily suspended. However, visitor and research services will be available online. For visitor services, visit discoverparramatta.com or call
