Civilian employee charged – Southern Region 6 October

A civilian police employee has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic-violence related offences.

On Thursday 5 October 2023, officers attached to Murray River Police District received reports of a domestic-violence related incident at a home in the Albury area and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 33-year-old woman – who is a civilian employee attached to a command in the Southern Region – was charged today (Friday 6 October 2023), with common assault (DV) and public official unlawfully disclose information.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Albury Local Court on Tuesday 10 October 2023.

The woman has been suspended with pay.
