Clan lab discovered, three charged – Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad, NSW

Three people have been charged after a clandestine drug laboratory was discovered at a home in Sydney’s south west.

Strike Force Dewed was launched in December 2018 by the Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the area.

Following inquiries, investigators attended a home on Memorial Avenue at Liverpool about 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 31 January 2019), with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit.

When officers gained entry to the home they uncovered a sophisticated clandestine drug laboratory, which was allegedly being used to manufacture methylamphetamine.

A crime scene was established at the home, which was processed.

Police have seized chemicals, liquids, glassware and apparatus used in the manufacture of drugs.

A 46-year-old woman and two men – aged 38 and 29 – were arrested outside the home and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The woman and the 29-year-old man were both charged with possess precursor intend to use in manufacture; possess drug manufacture apparatus; and organise/conduct/assist drug premises.

Both were refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Friday 1 February 2019).

The older man was charged over an outstanding drug warrant and was bail refused to appear in Parramatta Drug Court today (Friday 1 February 2019).
