The Twits

Two classic children’s books, Mem Fox’s Possum Magic and Roald Dahl’s The Twits will come to life on stage at the LEC next month.

For more than 30 years, Mem Fox’s Possum Magic has captivated and enchanted young people all over Australia.

Possum Magic is a whimsical journey around Australia to find the food that makes Hush visible again.

Joined by an extraordinary creative team, Sydney’s Monkey Baa Theatre Company brings to life the characters, journey and love that has made Possum Magic the most-loved and best-selling Australian picture book of all time.

Roald Dahl’s The Twits is a comedy of rebellion and justice in which Muggle-Wump the monkey races to outwit Mr and Mrs Twit, two of the most terrible and disgusting people to have ever lived.

Presented by LEC and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, playfulness and tricks are more successful than following the rules in this classic Roald Dahl story, making it well suited to the world of puppet theatre.

Possum Magic is on show at the LEC on Saturday, August 17 from 1pm.

The Twits is on show at the LEC on Monday, August 26 at 1pm and Tuesday, August 27 at 10.30am.
