Closure of drug operation in Biloela, QLD

Gladstone detectives have closed Operation Quebec Borba with the charging of six people for the alleged trafficking of drugs.

The operation started in September 2018 to target the supply of methamphetamine in the Biloela and Gladstone areas.

On January 31 and February 1 police executed 11 search warrants at residential addresses in Biloela, Theodore and Moura and seized a quantity of methamphetamine, cannabis, drug utensils and stolen property.

A 34-year-old Biloela man has been charged with two counts of trafficking dangerous drugs and 50 counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

A 32-year-old Biloela woman has been charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs and 33 counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

A 26-year-old Biloela man has been charged with one count of trafficking and 11 counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

A 44-year-old Biloela woman and a 52-year-old Biloela man have both has been charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs and supplying dangerous drugs.

A 32-year-old Mount Morgan man has been charged with one count of supplying dangerous drugs.

They will all reappear at the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 20.

A 43-year-old Blackwater man has been charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs and supplying dangerous drugs. He will appear at the Blackwater Magistrates Court on February 15

Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Andersen said this is a great result for the community with the disrupting of criminal behaviour in the Biloela area.

“The Queensland Police Service is committed to removing dangerous drugs from our communities and we will continue to target those participating in the rural drug trade.
