Coles Liquor has raised more than $115,000 for Clean Up Australia in just two days from their annual Drop of Good campaign to help support Clean Up activities in flood affected communities.

Funds raised will enable Clean Up Australia to provide materials for communities ravaged by the recent floods in Queensland and New South Wales and support communities and schools in their Clean Up efforts all year round.

The Drop of Good campaign was held between Saturday, March 5 to Sunday, March 6 (Clean Up Australia Day), with Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market stores donating 25 cents from every customer transaction[1].

Clean Up Australia Chair Pip Kiernan thanked Coles Liquor and their customers for their support.

“The direct support Coles’ Drop of Good campaign provides for communities is invaluable,” Ms Kiernan said.

“The funds raised this year will support community action, particularly among flood affected communities. It will enable Clean Up Australia bags and gloves to be distributed free of change to volunteers so they can safely remove litter and debris in these communities.”

Coles Liquor General Manager Operations Steve Hugginson said Coles Liquor was immensely proud of its partnership with Clean Up Australia.

“We’re incredibly proud to have raised over $115,000 for Clean Up Australia through our Drop of Good campaign this year,” Mr Hugginson said.

“We know the funds will make an immediate and genuine difference in local communities, particularly those that have been affected by the recent floods and we can’t thank our customers enough for their support of this wonderful cause.”

Since June 2018, Coles Group has also raised more than $770,000 for Clean Up Australia through the sale of reusable bags designed by Aussie school kids.

The Clean Up Australia partnership is one of many which help Coles Group to reduce its impact on the environment and build a more sustainable future for generations of Australians.
