The Mayor’s Australia Day Colouring Challenge is now open to all Hills Shire residents.

A copy of the colouring-in template, which showcases a cockatoo at home in the Australian bush, can be downloaded from The Hills Shire Library Service website (www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Library) and printed in the comfort of your own home. A copy can also be collected from your local Hills Shire Library branch, including at Castle Hill, Dural, Baulkham Hills and at Rouse Hill Town Centre.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi said this was a great way to participate in The Hills Shire’s Australia Day celebrations.

“Every year this Council puts on events to celebrate our nation’s day. However, as the Omicron outbreak continues to evolve, we understand that not all residents will be able to join us on January 26. Others will also have plans with family and friends.

“I’ve launched this special colouring challenge to give residents the opportunity to participate in our celebrations.

“It’s a great way to celebrate Australia Day in a safe and fun way,” Mayor Gangemi added.

The Mayor’s Australia Day Colouring Challenge is open to all ages.

All artworks that are returned online or in person to a Hills Shire Library branch will be displayed in an online gallery on the Hills Shire Library Service website and also shared across Council’s social media pages.

Those who have entered the Challenge will also receive a special gift (while stocks last). Simply visit your local Hills Shire Library branch to collect your prize.

All entries must be in before Monday 31st January 2022.
