Disappointed, but unsurprised.
Today a Canberra Liberals dominated Committee report pushed for school chaplains to be mandated in Canberra schools, as part of a Legislative Assembly Committee.
School chaplains were banned in the ACT from the end of last year – a move that we Greens support wholeheartedly.
Why? It’s simple. Because religious instruction shouldn’t be forced into our secular schools just because of conservative Federal Governments.
