The local community is urged to plan their trips as increased traffic is expected ahead of the NSW Police Force Academy Open Day.
On Saturday 26 September 2026, more than 4000 people are expected to attend the NSW Police Force Academy and will gain a rare behind-the-scenes look at the first stage of becoming a police officer.
Traffic is expected to be increased on multiple roads surrounding the Academy between 9am to 3pm, including Sydney Road, Union Street to Tarlo Street, Middle Arm Road and McDermott Drive.
NSW Police Force Academy Commander, Chief Superintendent John Klepczarek said a high-visibility traffic operation will be in place for the duration of the event.
“NSW Police Academy staff in conjunction with officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command will be working in the area to minimise the traffic impact on the local community.”
“Open day guests and the wider community are encouraged to plan their trips into the Goulburn CBD or expect significant delays.”
