A number of projects were considered and approved for funding under the Community Assistance Program (CAP) during the October Ordinary Council Meeting.
The Community Assistance Program (CAP) supports projects that maintain the strength and vibrancy of Cabonne’s towns and villages.
This is a competitive program that provides support for organisations focused on delivering positive benefits to Cabonne residents and contributing to the delivery of Council’s strategic priorities.
The objectives of the Community Assistance Program are:
- To support community groups with projects that are of ongoing or sustainable benefit to the Cabonne communities.
- To improve the livability of Cabonne shire.
These projects included:
- Canowindra Connections Centre – Connections Community Meals
- Canowindra Garden Club – Canowindra Parks Improvement Project 2025 and Beyond
- Cumnock District and Progress Association – Cumnock Swimming Pool Cover
- Cumnock Campdraft Committee – Cumnock Storage Solutions
- Cumnock Show Society Inc – Cumnock Showground Horse/Sheep Arena Improvements
- CWA of NSW Canowindra – Double Wall Oven for Catering
- Molong Historical Society – Blinds for the Veranda
- Molong Rotary Club – Molong Walks – Reprint of Brochures
- Mullion Creek District and Progress Association Inc – Community BBQ Facility Upgrade
- Nashdale Lidster Hall – Facility Refurbishment to Outdoor Cooking Facilities Staffed by Volunteers at Community Events
- Yeoval Historical Society – Buckinbah Park Upgrade
- Yeoval Memorial Hall – Table Upgrades
- Age of Fishes Museum Canowindra – 105 Piece Big Blue Block set
