Community engagement puts focus on pet laws review

Pets are a huge part of life in Logan which is why Council is reviewing some laws to better suit our changing city.

There’s still time to Have Your Say to help shape laws relating to the keeping of cats and dogs in Logan.

The City of Logan is home to more than 60,000 registered cats and dogs and Logan City Council has launched a review of some existing laws to ensure our city continues to be a leading council in animal management and community education.

Council has engaged with the community over the past month with almost 2000 residents completing survey forms to provide input to the review.

Residents from Yarrabilba, Cornubia, Jimboomba and Shailer Park have led the way in providing feedback so far.

Two more public engagement opportunities remain before the survey information will be reviewed.
