Community Events Grants Announced
The first recipients of Indigo Shire’s new Community Events Grant Program have been announced with 12 local organisations sharing in $15,000.
Council at its December 2019 meeting agreed to allocate funding to the following organisations.

| Beechworth Arts Council – Winter Words Festival | $400 |
| Chiltern Racecourse Recreation Reserve Committee of Management – Chiltern Rodeo | $2,000 |
| Chiltern Tourism Development – Community Street Party | $775 |
A total of 16 applicants applied for a grant, and the unsuccessful applicants will receive advice about alternative funding options.
In approving the grants Council congratulated all successful applicants and wished them well with their events.
