Applications for this year’s Community Grants program are now open. We welcome applications from local clubs, community groups and not-for-profit organisations from 11 March to 15 April 2024.
Community grants help local clubs and community groups establish great programs that enhance social connections and engagement, improve health and well-being and promote accessibility and inclusiveness.
Minus18, one of 2023’s successful applicants, used their community grant to fund eight LGBTIQA+ inclusivity workshops in Stonnington.
Rebecca Herft, Minus18 Partnerships Team Lead, said that they usually hold free workshops in schools, workplaces and community organisations in Stonnington but this latest funding grant allowed them to deliver the workshops to hospital staff.
“We’re not often able to provide funded sessions to workplaces, so being able to educate a new set of people was so important and really made an impact. We’re so grateful for the opportunity from the City of Stonnington,” said Rebecca.
