Community Housing Provider to manage 57 Homes in Alice Springs

Local Alice Springs based community housing provider, Community Housing Central Australia (CHCA), will be managing 57 affordable housing assets in Alice Springs.

The tender to manage these homes was released in September this year, with the Territory Labor Government working towards building a sophisticated and contemporary social and affordable housing system.

CHCA will act as the NT Government’s contracted agent and will be responsible for delivering all asset and tenancy management and day-to-day program delivery such as:

assessing eligibilityallocation of dwellingsentering lease agreementsundertaking inspectionscollecting rentensuring a high standard of repairs and maintenance.

CHCA is an Aboriginal controlled not-for-profit, and the largest community housing provider in the Territory located in Mparntwe, Alice Springs.

The 57 homes in Alice Springs which will be managed by CHCA are located in Araluen, Braitling and Ross.
