Community information relating to coronavirus

Our priority is the health and safety of our community and staff, and with this in mind we have made some decisions that will impact our services, events and programs over the coming weeks.

Libraries closures

All of our libraries will be closed from Wednesday 18 March until Tuesday 31 March. This closure may be extended further.

Leisure and aquatic centres closures

All of our leisure and aquatic centres will be closed from Wednesday 18 March until Tuesday 31 March. The closure may be extended further.

Event cancellations

The following events across Moreland have been cancelled:

Most Council-run community meetings and information sessions will also be cancelled or alternatively consultation will be conducted in a different way. Advice about specific meetings and sessions will be provided to relevant participants.

The 17 March 2020 citizenship ceremony will proceed, with altered arrangements to protect new citizens and staff health and safety.

Playgroups

All Council-led playgroups will be closed until further notice.

Counihan Gallery

The Counihan Gallery will close from 5pm Tuesday 17 March until 31 March.

Maternal and child health services

There will be some adjustments to our maternal and child health programs, you’ll be notified by your maternal and child health nurse directly.

Immunisation services

Our immunisation services will continue to run with additional health practices put into place.

Waste and depot services

Our waste and bin collection and recycling services are still business as normal.

All other services

All other services will run as normal, unless otherwise advised.
