  • Saturday, 25 November 2023 – 10am to 12pm, onsite at Wentworth Falls Lake (next to the amenities building, off Sinclair Crescent).
  • Thursday, 30 November 2023 – 5pm to 7pm, at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts (217-219 Great Western Highway).

The community is invited to drop-in and find out what the future holds for the lake precinct. You will be able to review the upgrade plans, draft designs and information, discuss these with members of the project team and have your questions answered.

The planned upgrade works for the lake precinct include:

  • An accessible walkway and viewing platform will run along the eastern edge of Wentworth Falls Lake. The walking track will run through to Waratah Road, North of the lake.
  • Necessary dam, spillway and pedestrian bridge improvements, that will see water management infrastructure significantly upgraded, improving the control of water levels for fire protection and community resilience.
  • An upgraded boat ramp, landscaping and staging area for emergency vehicles.
  • Improved recreational facilities, including precinct seating, shelters and BBQ facilities.
  • A precinct walk around the lake and an Active Transport Link.
  • New, formalised carparks with increased capacity on Sinclair Crescent and Waratah Road.

Blue Mountains Mayor, Mark Greenhill said: “Over time, Council has been working to carefully enhance the upgrade plans for Wentworth Falls Lake Precinct, to deliver a package of works that best support the community’s vision for this popular recreational area.

“This is a very complex set of upgrades and we know people have questions. These two information sessions are an ideal chance for you to review the plans, provide feedback and have Council officers walk you through the details.

“The information sessions aren’t the end of the journey either. We’ll be keeping the community updated regularly on how the works are progressing.”
