Community invited to learn more about the new Warrawong Community Health Centre

The new Community Health Centre will be located on the south east corner of Port Kembla Hospital and is being built as part of the more than $700 million Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project.

Minister for Health, Ryan Park said community feedback has helped shape the design of the new centre, which will bring together a range of community health services within one purpose-built facility to improve and enhance patient experiences.

“It is important that our community is updated about this new community health facility, which has been planned and designed in consultation with health staff and the local community to meet the Illawarra’s future health needs,” Mr Park said.

“The new centre will be a community-focused facility, designed with the best clinical practices in mind to deliver better health outcomes for patients.”

“The perspective and experiences of the community are incredibly valuable to the delivery of these wide ranges of health services .”

The new Warrawong Community Health Centre will provide:

  • Child and Family Health Services
  • Binji and Boori (Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service)
  • Community Nursing
  • Community Mental Health
  • Sexual Health Service
  • Drug and Alcohol Services
  • Equipment Loan Pool
