A community meeting to update residents regarding the ongoing fire situation at Millmerran Downs will be held at 4pm today (Sunday 19 November) at Whylara Grove Hall.
Toowoomba Region Mayor Geoff McDonald said representatives of QFES and Council would be on hand to update the community.
“Residents are encouraged to attend to hear the latest update from QFES.
“Overnight residents who have properties between Flamingo Road, Rosella Avenue and Scrubby Creek Boondanilla Road to the Gore Highway were all asked to leave immediately,” he said.
“Council provided assistance by making graders available, as well as a water truck and will continue to help out where possible.
“Please stay up to date with the latest warnings.”
