Community minded professionals join South West Hospital and Health Board

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services The Honourable Yvette D'Ath

A former Deputy Mayor and an experienced senior executive of health infrastructure projects have been reappointed to the South West Hospital and Health Board.

Jan Chambers and Ray Chandler round out the eight-person board, which consists of six continuing members.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said both Jan Chambers and Ray Chandler had shown a genuine interest in serving their regions.

“I welcome the reappointment of Ms Chambers and Mr Chandler to the South West Hospital and Health Board,” Minister D’Ath said.

“Ms Chambers has demonstrated a strong interest in representing her region through her roles as Councillor at Booringa and Maranoa Regional Councils, and most recently as Deputy Mayor at Maranoa Regional Council.”

“Mr Chandler has spent most of his career involved in the health sector, working across clinical support services, infrastructure projects and facilities management.”

“I know they will both continue to work hard to ensure high quality health care services are maintained for South West Queensland residents.”
