Community organisations urged to apply for funding through Council’s round one financial assistance Program

Dubbo Regional Council invites (DRC) eligible community organisations to apply for a share of $15,000 available through the Financial Assistance Program (FAP).

To be successful, applicants must meet criteria based on merit and benefits to the community, they must be based in Dubbo Regional Council Local Government delivering a service or activity in Local Government area.

Council’s Manager Community Services Christy White said previous recipients included charitable, health, animal wellbeing, and environmental organisations, as well as special interest groups.

“Council dedicates $30,000 to the Community Financial Assistance Program each year to help ease the burden of not-for-profit organisations that contribute to our community,” Ms White said.

“This is the first round of financial assistance funding Council has to offer for the 2022/2023 financial year.

“The funding often provides a much-needed boost to help community groups to complete a project or pay for resources that help them deliver valued activities and services to the people of Dubbo Regional Council Local Government area.

“If you are part of a not-for-profit organisation in Wellington or Dubbo we encourage you to apply.”
