Greater Shepparton City Council has recorded its highest ever overall performance result in the 2025-2026 Community Satisfaction Survey, reinforcing growing community confidence in Council services and direction.
The latest survey results found overall performance increased to 65, the highest result recorded since the survey commenced, while overall Council direction increased two points to 61, Council’s second-highest result in 14 years. Customer Service also continued its strong upward trend, increasing to 74.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said the results reflected Council’s commitment to delivering efficient services and responding to community needs.
“Achieving our highest ever overall performance result is a fantastic outcome and reflects the hard work being undertaken across the organisation to deliver services for our community,” he said.
“Importantly, the survey provides valuable feedback that tells us where we need to focus our efforts going forward.”
The survey highlighted strong improvements in customer service measures, including how long it took to resolve enquiries, how easy it was to contact Council and the accuracy of information provided. Weekly green bin collection also improved.
“Greater Shepparton continues to perform above both Victorian council and regional centre averages across many key measures, including overall performance, customer service and overall Council direction,” Cr Sali said.
The survey was conducted by Thinkfield and included 600 responses collected throughout the year, with 150 surveys undertaken each quarter. The results provide valuable insights into community perceptions of Council’s performance across services, facilities and strategic priorities.
