Matilda Walking Floors Pty Ltd has been convicted and fined $140,000 in the Industrial Court of NSW as a result of a prosecution by SafeWork NSW.
The proceedings arose from an incident on 3 August 2023, when a worker suffered serious injuries while working on a mobile elevated working platform which tipped from the back of a truck trailer.
Matilda Walking Floors plead guilty to an offence pursuant to section 32 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 for failing for failing to comply with its duty to workers under section 19(1) of the Act.

Matilda Walking Floors has the right to appeal against its sentence.
