During the apprehension of a man overnight, Police Dog Turbo received two stab wounds, a shoulder wound and punctured lung.
PD Turbo is a 20-month-old general purpose police dog assigned to the Darling Downs District and was transported to a veterinary surgery where he was operated on.
We are pleased to report, PD Turbo is out of surgery and is recovering nicely. He is already up and about, bouncing round.
PD Turbo is now back with his relieved handler. All support is being given to his handler at this time.
