From on the ground conversations in more than 90 communities to more than 2,400 submissions, Basin communities have had their say on the future of the Basin Plan and water management. Their feedback is now helping shape the 2026 Basin Plan Review.
After 12 weeks of extensive engagement across the Murray-Darling Basin, a major milestone has been reached in the Review process with public consultation now complete.
Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) teams travelled across the Basin as part of the consultation process, speaking directly with around 2,800 participants. From regional centres to remote communities, conversations were held on Country, in community halls, bringing together a wide range of voices and perspectives.
