Treasury has compiled a list of the cheapest petrol stations on average since 28 February 2026.
Solo Causarina leads for both Diesel and ULP.
New data has revealed the Top 10 cheapest petrol stations in Darwin for diesel and unleaded petrol (ULP) on average since the US conflict with Iran began.
Using the NT Government’s real-time AI model to monitor fuel prices and track fuel company behaviour, Treasury has compiled a list of the cheapest petrol stations on average since 28 February 2026.
As fuel prices spiral once again, the analysis provides motorists with a guide to where they can find the best petrol prices on average in town.
“We know that petrol prices are one of the top cost of living headaches for Territorians so this list provides them with a guide to where they can find the best savings on average around town,” Acting Chief Minister Gerard Maley said.
“We are the first jurisdiction in Australia to use AI against fuel price gouging, and it is already giving us market insights far beyond anything we had before.”

The cheapest outlet – Solo Casuarina – at 193.6 was more than 30 cents per litre cheaper than the most expensive retailer.

Solo Casuarina was again well ahead of the outlet with the highest average price – more than 55 cents per litre cheaper.
Meanwhile, a total of 11 infringement notices have been issued against outlets which charged higher prices at the pump than what was advertised on the MyFuel NT app.
Nearly $170,000 in fines have been issued to outlets in Palmerston, Alice Springs, Katherine and Darwin following more than 2,000 compliance checks.
The Finocchiaro CLP Government has also announced that the term of the NT Fuel Controller, Jimmy Kiplocks, which was due to conclude on 30 September has been extended for another six months. The Fuel Controller’s role is to prevent price exploitation of goods and services, including fuel.
Minister Maley concluded: “Our Government will continue to work hard to keep fuel prices down for Territorians because we know how hard they hit the household budget.”
