There are 444 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria – with 27 active cases in ICU, including 11 on a ventilator, and an additional 8 cleared cases in ICU.
6,180,180 vaccine doses have been administered by Victoria’s state-commissioned services, with 3,446 administered yesterday at state-run centres.
67.2 per cent of Victorians aged 18 and over have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 94.5 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over have had two doses.
10,674 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded yesterday. This includes 6,827 who tested positive on a Rapid Antigen Test and 3,874 who returned a positive result on a PCR test.
Sadly, the Department was notified of 11 deaths yesterday of people aged in their 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Ten of today’s reported deaths occurred in the past week including 4 deaths that occurred in the past two days. This brings the total number of deaths in Victoria since the pandemic began to 2,871.
There are 53,896 active cases in Victoria.
20,600 PCR tests were processed yesterday. The total number of PCR tests performed in Victoria since the pandemic began is 20,373,828.

Easing of restrictions
Victoria will move into winter safely with most restrictions removed from 11:59pm, Friday 22 April.
A number of critical and common-sense settings will be retained, including the essential requirement to isolate for seven days following a COVID-19 diagnosis and existing two-dose and three-dose vaccination mandates for workers.
