Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has adopted its Economic Development and Tourism Strategy.

The Strategy was informed by industry experts, local business and community members through thorough consultation in 2023.

Our Peninsula is home to a vibrant business community and many popular tourist attractions.

As our Shire grows, we need to plan to make sure our businesses are thriving, and future development is sustainable.

The Economic Development and Tourism Strategy addresses issues and opportunities, including:

  • Supporting small businesses.
  • Industry development.
  • Workforce opportunities.
  • Addressing transport, communication and place-specific issues.
