At an unscheduled Council meeting of Swan Hill Rural City Council on Thursday, 4 November, Council appointed Ms Heather Green, as short term acting Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Green will commence upon the departure of current CEO John McLinden at 5pm on Friday, 5 November 2021.
Ms Green will remain in the role until a longer term acting CEO is appointed, it is expected that the appointment will be for a period of 2-4 weeks.
Ms Green has served Council for over four years and is a highly respected and competent member of Councils leadership team.
I extend my congratulations to Heather on this appointment.
