The Council presented 40 grants worth $75,841 to 38 community groups and event organisers at the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre on Thursday 6 June 2019.
The Council funded $64,141 under the Community Grants Program and $11,700 for Major Events.
32 not-for-profit community-based organisations received funding of up to $2,500 under the Community Grants Program for projects and activities that enable participation in social, cultural and economic life in Benalla Rural City.
Eight event organisers received funding of up to $1,500 under the Major Event Funding program for events that provide measurable economic benefit and enhance the image and liveability of Benalla Rural City.
