Council has dedicated significant efforts over the past several years to enhance lighting in the Goulburn Mulwaree region. We are delighted to share that various lighting installations have been successfully completed for the betterment of our residents.

Key highlights of the installations include:

  • The Wollondilly River Walkway features sustainable solar lighting between Marsden Weir and the Kenmore Bridge, providing enhanced visibility and safety for pedestrians.
  • The implementation of LED streetlighting across Goulburn Mulwaree not only ensures a more reliable and higher-quality lighting service but also results in significant energy savings of over 49.62%.
  • Goulburn Hockey Fields – upgraded to meet standard requirements for training and competition
  • Marulan Soccer field – crucial for community training after hours
  • Netball Courts – as a part of a comprehensive facility upgrade illuminating all 9 courts
  • Seiffert Oval – increased lighting capacity on the Cycle track as well as allowing Cricket to facilitate a night competition
  • Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre – the outdoor lighting allows for a safter environment during the early mornings and night for both lifeguards and visitors to the centre.
  • Southern Tablelands Football Association (STFA) has successfully secured their own grant funding for the lighting upgrade at the Cookbundoon Sports Fields.

These lighting installations reflect the Council’s commitment to improving community infrastructure and promoting a safe and vibrant environment for all residents. We thank the community for their continued support and look forward to further enhancing our facilities in the future.
