In an effort towards achieving a sustainable future, Council has purchased an Ecoteq Rival Electrical Mower. The first of it’s kind in South Australia, the Ecoteq is 100 per cent electric powered and produces a horsepower comparable to a 36ph gas mower, while making no noise and producing zero carbon emissions.
The Ecoteq will be used predominately in Council’s township areas, playgrounds and cemeteries.
In further efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, Council has also purchased a range of battery operated hand tools to promote a quieter, more sustainable township team.
We look forward to continuing to find creative ways to become more climate conscious and preserve the environmental wellbeing of our beautiful townships for as long as possible.
