Council seeks input for Council Plan, Budget and Infrastructure

Baw Baw residents are invited to help shape Council’s service and infrastructure delivery for the year ahead by providing early and direct input into the 2020/21 Council Plan, Budget and Infrastructure Delivery Plan.

Via a dedicated webpage and easy to use online form residents can tell Council what services, projects and infrastructure themes they would like to see prioritised in the 2020/21 financial year.

The information residents provide now will directly inform the development of the key strategic documents that will guide Council services and its delivery of things like roads, footpaths, recreation and community facilities.

Open until Friday 13 December, this online form is just the first step in a comprehensive community consultation process. Assisted by the information received during this early input phase, a draft Council Plan, Budget and Infrastructure Delivery Plan will be created and released for community review and further feedback in April 2020.

Hard copies of the community input form are also available for collection from Council Customer Service Centres. Printable copies can also be downloaded from Council’s website(PDF, 4MB).

As stated by Mayor Cr Mikaela Power

“As a Council, we are very committed to serving our community’s needs. We have a ten-year plan to provide direction for investment, allow delivery of major projects over multiple years, and to ensure transparency of the planned programs and projects across the municipality.

However, we know that community priorities and needs can change. It’s important that we clearly understand emerging challenges and opportunities to ensure that we are delivering quality, community focused services that meet the needs and expectation of our residents.

This survey gives all residents the opportunity to tell us directly what they want us to focus on so that we can adjust accordingly. I strongly encourage everyone to take 5 minutes to submit their input.”
