Cairns Regional Council advises of the following changes to services due to the Easter, four-day long weekend (Friday 7 April to Monday 10 April).
Council’s customer service centre at Spence St will be closed from 4.30pm on Thursday 6 April and will re-open on Tuesday 11 April.
An after-hours emergency call centre will operate 24 hours a day via the normal customer service number 1300 69 22 47.
Non-urgent matters can be logged at any time via Council’s website or through the free My Cairns app, which can be downloaded to mobile devices from Google Play and the App Store.
There will be no interruptions to kerbside waste and recycling collections. Residential collections will be as per normal schedule on all days, including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Waste transfer stations are open every day.
The Buy Back Shop at the Portsmith Transfer Station will be closed from Friday and will reopen on Wednesday 12 April.
All Cairns Libraries branches will be closed Friday 7 April and reopen on Tuesday 11 April.

The Animal Care and Education Centre at 55-57 Links Drive, Woree, will be closed on Friday.
Impounded pets and lost pets can be collected on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from midday to 12.30pm.
