The Friday before Grand Final Day is a public holiday in Victoria. Here’s how Council’s services will be impacted:
Waste and recycling collections
Rubbish, recycling and green waste bins will be collected as normal.
The Waste Transfer Station will be operating on reduced hours over the long weekend:
- Friday 24 September: Open 7.30am – 3pm
- Saturday 25 September: Open 7.30am – 1pm
- Sunday 26 September: Closed
As per the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 restrictions, the Transfer Station is only open to authorised trade/permitted work types.
Council offices
The Monash Civic Centre (Glen Waverley) and the Oakleigh Service Centre remain closed to the public in-line with COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
Libraries
All Monash libraries remain closed in-line with COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. After hours chutes will be available at all branches except Mulgrave.
