Council wishes to advise the community of its relocation and/or closure of some Council services and facilities due to the imminent flooding of the Ball Park/Corowa Civic Centre Precinct.
The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that The Murray River at Corowa may reach near 7.40 metres around Friday, with moderate flooding, and further rises possible.
In previous flooding events, access to the Ball Park/ Corowa Civic Precinct including Ball Park Oval and the Corowa Aquatic Centre area has become limited at 6.4 metres and above this, it becomes inaccessible due to inundation of the road in and the main car parking areas.
Council’s Customer Service Centre for Corowa will close from 4pm Wednesday (or earlier if conditions require) and services will relocate to the Oddfellows Hall at the top of Sanger Street Corowa, from 9am Thursday, November 3. Services will then be available at Oddfellows Hall from Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm until further notice.
Limited Service NSW transactions will also be available from Oddfellows Hall during this time.
Our Visitor Information Centre will also relocate to the Oddfellows Hall in Corowa from Friday, November 4 and will be open Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4pm and Saturday’s and Sunday’s 10am – 2pm.

Council will continue to work with the SES as the lead agency in this emergency event, to monitor and respond to flood impacts.
