Council services update 23 June

Following announcements by the Victorian Government around Covid-19 restrictions, a number of Swan Hill Rural City Council services reopened this week, subject to limitations of the number of visitors to these facilities.

Sites reopening to the public this week include the Swan Hill Regional Library, and gym facilities at the Swan Hill and Robinvale leisure centres.

As per the Victorian Government’s announcement of further Covid-19 restrictions over the weekend, visitors to each of these facilities will be limited to a maximum of 20 people.

Swan Hill Rural City Council CEO John McLinden said it was good to see Council reopening more key services.

“We have commenced the reopening of Council services in a staged approach, in line with government and industry protocols,” Mr McLinden said.

“This has also enabled Council to ensure that restrictions and measures have been put in place to help protect against the risk of Covid-19.”

Mr McLinden reminded the community to ensure they adhered to the Covid-19 restrictions.

“We ask that the community follow these restrictions and measures. This is to help ensure the protection of other community members and staff,” he said.

“Importantly, if you are unwell, please stay at home.”
