Shellharbour City Council has re-elected Councillor Kellie Marsh as Deputy Mayor following a resolution at tonight’s Ordinary Council Meeting.
First elected to Council in 2011, Cr Marsh has served the Shellharbour community for more than 15 years and has held the position of Deputy Mayor since 2021.
She will continue to support Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer in representing the community and carrying out civic duties across the city.

Mayor Homer congratulated Cr Marsh on her re-election.
“I congratulate Councillor Marsh on her re-election as Deputy Mayor, over the past five years, Councillor Marsh has made a valuable contribution as Deputy Mayor, supporting Council and representing our community with dedication and professionalism,” Mayor Homer said.
“Her experience, leadership and commitment to the people of Shellharbour make her a highly respected member of our Council team, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside her as we deliver positive outcomes for our city.”
Cr Marsh said she was honoured to continue serving the community as Deputy Mayor.
“I am grateful for the confidence my fellow Councillors have shown in me and honoured to continue serving as Deputy Mayor of Shellharbour,” Cr Marsh said.
Cr Marsh’s continued service as Deputy Mayor brings valuable experience to the role as Council progresses key projects, advocates for community priorities and delivers services and infrastructure across the city.
The Deputy Mayor supports the Mayor in carrying out civic and ceremonial duties and may exercise the functions of the Mayor when required.
