Councillor Ross Ebbels Elected as Deputy Mayor

Councillor Ross Ebbels was elected unopposed as Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Queenscliffe at last Wednesday’s Ordinary Meeting of Council for the remainder of the term.

Cr Ebbels has previously served three terms as the Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor before resigning last year when Cr Isabelle Tolhurst was elected into the role. Last Wednesday, Council also nominated Councillors to portfolios and committees. Councillors were elected to the following portfolio responsibilities:

  • Cr Rob Minty – Health and Wellbeing
  • Cr Isabelle Tolhurst – Environment
  • Cr Ross Ebbels – Local Economy
  • Cr Michael Grout – Heritage, Planning and Infrastructure
  • Cr Donnie Grigau – Governance and Finance
