NT Health and the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre AUSMAT team express their condolences to the family of the man who died in Western Australia overnight from COVID-19.
He had been evacuated to Western Australia last week after testing positive for the disease shortly after arrival at the Howard Springs Quarantine Facility. He became unwell on the flight from Japan and remained isolated throughout his short stay at the facility.
AUSMAT and Australian Border Force are providing support to concerned individuals at the Howard Springs Facility during this sad time.
