COVID-19 Technology Grants Open

Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing

The health, safety and wellbeing of Tasmanians is the Government’s number one priority as we face the challenges of COVID-19 together.

Organisations from the Community Managed Mental Health (CMMH) and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector are encouraged to apply for a grant which allows them to transition to new ways of working to ensure they can continue providing support to clients during COVID-19.

The $450,000 Community Managed Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Sector COVID-19 Technology Fund Grant program was announced in March as part of the Tasmanian Government’s COVID-19 Social and Economic Support Package.

It will help the CMMH and AOD sector to purchase the technology required to adapt so it can continue to provide support services to people across Tasmania.

Grants can also be in the form of reimbursement, so organisations which have already ordered or purchased technology to support adaptions due to the impact of COVID-19 on or after 10 March 2020 may still be eligible to apply.

The grant application period opens today and will be open for one week, closing on 22 April to ensure a quick turnaround of funds allocation and disbursement.
