COVID-19 update – 29 May 2020

The Department of Health has reported eight new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 585.

All of the eight new cases are crew members from the Al Kuwait.

There are now 25 active cases in Western Australia. Of the active cases one is a Western Australian, four are from interstate and 20 are crew members from the Al Kuwait.

To date, 551 people have recovered from the virus in WA, following one additional recovery overnight.

There are no confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth hospitals.

Yesterday 1,052 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics, and of these 957 were assessed and 937 were swabbed.

To date there have been 85,738 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 14,830 tests were carried out in regional WA.
