The Townsville Local Disaster Management Group (TLDMG) is supporting the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) to open a walk-in COVID-19 testing site at Townsville Stadium tomorrow (4 January) from 3-8pm.
The testing site will be operated by QML Pathology and will be inside the stadium, as opposed to previous drive-through testing conducted in the stadium’s car park.
This walk-in site is in addition to the testing sites operated by the THHS at the 1300Smiles Stadium and Reid Park.
Members of the public wanting to be tested must wear a face mask at all times and bring photo identification and their Medicare card with them.
The public is also strongly encouraged to be patient and to treat the medical staff with respect.
