Northern Territory Police are investigating a crash involving two motorcycles near Finke in Central Australia this morning.
At around 5:30am police were notified of a head-on crash off the Maryvale Road.
Police, local clinic staff and St John NT were dispatched to the scene.
The two riders were taken to Alice Springs Hospital.
One rider suffered head and pelvis injuries and has since been transferred to Adelaide in a critical condition.
The other rider has a significant jaw injury.
The two men are not competitors in the Finke Desert Race.
All road users are reminded to drive and ride to the conditions and not to drink and drive.
