A man has died in hospital following a single vehicle crash in Mitta Mitta.
Emergency services responded to reports from a passerby of a vehicle seen down an embankment just off Omeo Highway just after 11am on 25 August.
The vehicle was located with an injured male trapped inside and a high angle rescue was initiated.
The man was identified as a missing Harrietville man that had not been seen since 23 August when he left in his car from a hotel in Harrietville.
The 85-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life-threating injuries at the time but has since died in hospital.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
