Crash sparks fire at Paracombe, South Australia

A crash sparked a fire at Paracombe this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Gorge Road, Paracombe just before 12.30pm on Friday 27 December after a car and motorcycle collided.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The car driver and passenger were not physically injured.

The fire was quickly controlled by CFS units.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the road is clear.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.

Hills Fleurieu Police urge all motorists to take care on the roads, particularly at this time of year and during periods of severe fire danger.

The area remains under a Bushfire Advice and the public are asked to avoid the area if possible.
