The Minister for Primary Industry and Resources will betravelling to Japan today to strengthen existing relations between the NorthernTerritory Government and Japan.
While in Japan, Minister Kirby will attend a key industryconference, the Australia-Japan Joint Business Conference (AJJBC).
Minister Kirby will meet with:
- Osksa Gas Mr. Takeshi Matsui, ExecutiveVice-President and Head of International Energy and Resource Business Unit andMr. Tasuo Ryoki, Chairman of Osaka Gas (Australia); and
- INPEX Mr. Seiya Ito, Senior Managing ExecutiveOfficer and Senior VP Ichthys Project, and Mr. Jiro Okada, Vice-PresidentIchthys Division.
The Minister will also visit Mitsubishi, METI and JOGMEC toexplore opportunities between these organisations and the Northern Territory.
