Creating Jobs: Minister for Primary Industry and Resources Promoting NT in Japan

The Minister for Primary Industry and Resources will betravelling to Japan today to strengthen existing relations between the NorthernTerritory Government and Japan.

While in Japan, Minister Kirby will attend a key industryconference, the Australia-Japan Joint Business Conference (AJJBC).

Minister Kirby will meet with:

  • Osksa Gas Mr. Takeshi Matsui, ExecutiveVice-President and Head of International Energy and Resource Business Unit andMr. Tasuo Ryoki, Chairman of Osaka Gas (Australia); and
  • INPEX Mr. Seiya Ito, Senior Managing ExecutiveOfficer and Senior VP Ichthys Project, and Mr. Jiro Okada, Vice-PresidentIchthys Division.

The Minister will also visit Mitsubishi, METI and JOGMEC toexplore opportunities between these organisations and the Northern Territory.
