Critical incident investigation underway after crash in Bradbury

A critical incident investigation is underway after a man died following a crash in Sydney’s south west.

Just after 1.15pm today (Tuesday 14 December 2021), officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were conducting proactive patrols at St Johns Road, Bradbury, when they attempted to stop a Suzuki motorcycle.

The rider allegedly failed to stop as directed and a pursuit was initiated.

A short time later police lost sight of the Suzuki, before it was located crashed into a fence at the intersection of Jacaranda and Cedar Avenue, Bradbury.

The rider – a 48-year-old man – was arrested at the scene.

While speaking with police, the man lost consciousness.

Officers commenced CPR; however, despite their efforts, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and a critical incident team from Camden Police Area Command will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.

That investigation will be subject to an independent review.
